We’ll start at Whole Foods in The Parks at Walter Reed and likely explore areas near Georgia Avenue & 13th Street NW — with the group deciding the route. Along the way, we’ll notice cracked pavement, missing bricks, and tricky curb cuts that affect safety and mobility. Join the walk — and help make our neighborhood safer underfoot.

Join Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners and neighbors for a community walkabout focused on pedestrian safety! We'll kick things off at the Triangle Park near 14th, Oak, and Ogden, where you'll learn how to spot and report broken sidewalks, missing crosswalks, and other hazards using DC's 311 system. Then we'll break into groups to walk the neighborhood and document issues firsthand. Sidewalks are the arteries of our community and need our attention and love! Come help make ours safer for all.
